Plants as Mentors

Alchemical Plant Healing

Why Plants?

A powerful part of the Re-Imagining Asclepius Mentorship Program is the partnership with plants and plant mentors.

Health and intuitive power come from the awareness that you–as an individual–are not limited to what exists inside of your skin. Rather, you are the sum total of your relationships, inside and out.

In other words:

Human body <----> Gaia Body <----> Celestial body

All three feed into and out of each other, with plants as the medium of connection.

Therefore, we work with plants in the following ways:

  • Monthly Custom Spagyric Tinctures: Each month brings an intuitively-derived custom formula of plants in spagyric tincture form. These specially made tinctures spur alchemical transformational change.

  • Your Plant Mentor: In the first few months you will be paired with a plant mentor with whom you will work with for the duration of the mentorship, and perhaps beyond. In the beginning, I will facilitate communication between you and your mentor. As time goes on, however, you will learn to work directly with them without an intermediary.

  • The Plant Council This mentorship is a natural outgrowth of an exploration of the Asclepius myths and plant communication that Margaux Crump and I commenced in November of 2024. Our goal at the time was to create a retreat experience that included plant communication and healing, woven together with astrology and the mythic origins of Western Medicine. The specific retreat did not materialize, but we are fortunate to continue to work with a group of 12 plants who have volunteered to help guide any continuing work. This Plant Council is always available for consultation and they volunteer at times to help adjust and guide your mentorship.
    • The Plant Council consists of: Doug-fir tree, Lady Fern, Red Clover, Wild Rose (flower and hip), Trembling Aspen, Wax Myrtle, Garlic, Milkweed, Nettle, Moss (undifferentiated), and Pink Rose (unnamed cultivated variety).
